Taxpayer Law
Students

The Taxpayer Law Student Program.

A small intake, a focused practice area, and meaningful exposure to real CRA matters from day one.

A clean notebook and pen on a white desk.
What to Expect

Real files. Direct supervision. Real responsibility.

Students at Taxpayer Law work directly with the firm's lawyers on active CRA disputes. That includes drafting Notices of Objection, preparing Tax Court pleadings, attending discoveries, researching specific points of tax law, and working on Voluntary Disclosure Program applications.

Because the practice is narrow, students develop substantive expertise quickly. By the end of an articling term, our students have meaningful experience with the income tax objections and appeals process, the GST/HST framework, the Tax Court of Canada Rules, and the day-to-day reality of dealing with CRA auditors and Appeals Officers.

We hire a small number of articling students and summer students each year. The intake is intentionally small so that every student receives direct supervision from senior lawyers.

How to apply
