Build a career in tax controversy.
We hire lawyers who want to spend their entire practice on tax disputes. Not corporate tax with the occasional dispute. Not litigation with the occasional tax file. The real thing.
Lawyers who do the work seriously.
The lawyers who do well at Taxpayer Law are the ones who care about the craft of tax controversy. They write carefully. They prepare thoroughly. They respect the deadlines and the procedural rules. They are confident in front of CRA Appeals Officers and judges of the Tax Court without being theatrical about it.
We are interested in lawyers at every stage of practice, from recent calls to senior practitioners. Tax-specific experience is welcome but not required. What matters more is the willingness to specialize and to do the work well.
